MORA does not accept applications year-round.
We only receive submissions during specific open-call periods, which are announced on our website and social channels. Applications sent outside the designated timeframe will not be reviewed.
Who Can Apply

Artists from any discipline (painting, sculpture, installation, performance, mixed media, photography, new media, and more).

Emerging or mid-emerging artists looking to strengthen their practice.
-
International Artists.
-
Applicants 21 years or older.
What We Offer
Every selected resident receives:

Workspace adapted to your practice.

Guidance & mentorship from local artists, curators, and cultural agents.

Community engagement, connecting you with Monterrey’s creative ecosystem.

Participation on local exhibitions, talks, open studios and events.
Application Requirements
To be considered, please submit:

Single PDF with:
-
Portfolio with recent work (PDF or website).
-
Artist Statement (max. 200 words).
-
Short Bio or CV (max. 1 page).
-
Project Proposal describing what you aim to explore or create during the residency (max. 1 page).

Working knowledge of English or Spanish (fluency not required — basic communication is enough).

Selected Criteria
Applications are reviewed by the MORA committee based on:

Artistic clarity and conceptual strength.
-
Coherence and quality of the portfolio.
-
The relevance of the proposal to the residency context.
-
Interest in cultural exchange and community engagement.
-
Feasibility of completing the project within the residency period.
MORA values thoughtful practices, openness, and artists who approach their work with intention.
